Capital stuff Visitors to Australia who like their chamber music may find May 4th to the 13th a great time to be in the capital, Canberra.

During this time the Canberra International Chamber Music Festival will take place, playing a wide range of classical styles and showcasing the talent that is up and coming down under.

Held on an annual basis in a different venue each year, the 2007 festival will be mainly staged at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, which is designed with ideal acoustics, with a childrens' festival and young artist day at the National Library of Australia, according to the festival website.

As the seat of government, Canberra has a number of Australia's most prominent buildings, which visitors staying in cheap hotels can visit.

These include the national parliament, the National Museum of Australia and the National Gallery of Australia.

Canberra was designed as a garden city and the suburbs mix with a wide range of local flora.
