Film fans who fancy doing it al fresco will be able to fulfil this wish in Australia's Northern Territory from April onwards.
Starting on April 18th, Darwin's Deckchair Cinema opens, showing films every evening right through to October as the dry season hits tropical Australia, meaning most evenings are warm, humid and rainless.
The films shown are alternative, non-mainstream offerings from both Australia and abroad, all in a relaxed atmosphere with the backdrop of sunset over the harbour.
Apart from the films, Darwin and the Northern Territory offers plenty of opportunity for fun and adventure.
Darwin itself offers a multicultural experience, where European, Aboriginal and Asian cultures mix, while the Northern Territory offers a vast, wild adventure for those who wish to tour the outback, including the joys of Alice Springs and Uluru, the monolith formerly known as Ayers Rock, which is a sacred site for Abriginals.
