Feast on Film in Australia
The St Kilda Film Festival takes place this June, with a host of screenings and events celebrating Australian short films.
A competition is held each year at the festival, with the top 100 short film submissions screened and put forward for huge cash and prizes.
The festival, presented by the City of Port Phillip, screens short films in a range of genres, including comedy, drama, animation, documentary and digital media.
In addition to the short film competition, with categories for Best Short Film, Best Achievement in Screenplay, Best Documentary and Most Positive Image of Ageing, festival organisers are also holding the SoundKILDA Music Video Competition.
Located on Port Phillip Bay, St Kilda is a multicultural neighbourhood south of Melbourne, Australia, with lively bars, restaurants and cheap hotels.
The 24th St Kilda Film Festival takes place from June 5th to 10th 2007, with a range of forums, screenings, presentations, live performances and parties organised.
