Head to Aus for the Year's First Grand Slam
Tennis fans will be flocking to the land down under in January as the year's first grand slam, the Australian Open, gets underway.
Roger Federer will once again be defending his men's title at the Rod Laver arena this year, having won the competition in the last two years, while Serena Williams will be looking to hold onto the women's trophy.
Australia is well known for its love of sport and the Open is one of the major events in its calendar, with over 500,000 fans attending the tournament in 2006.
The 2008 event is set be more popular than ever after it was announced earlier this year that a new pass will be available allowing fans to attend the tournament for five days for just $99 (£42).
As well as having the chance to enjoy this grand slam sporting event, travellers staying in cheap hotels in Melbourne in January will be able to explore the exciting city, which is the fashion capital of Australia.
The Australian Open takes place at the Rod Laver arena at Melbourne Park between January 14th and 27th.
