It's Supercheap Down Under
Australia - a land of cheap eating out, free sunshine and supercheap cars.
The last of these comes courtesy of one of the major events on the Australian motor racing calendar, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, held in the New South Wales town of that name.
Making up round ten of the V8 Supercars championship, this four-day festival of rally car racing takes place from October 4th to the 7th.
Motorsport fans staying in cheap hotels can expect plenty of burning rubber, spectacular spins and crashes and lots of speed amid the whirling red dust of Australia as the top teams and drivers battle it out.
Lying inland from Sydney, Bathurst is close to large areas of forest, which visitors can explore, discovering all sorts of unusual plants and animals.
Alternatively, the proximity of Sydney (by Australian standards) means Australia's most vibrant and exciting city can be included in the trip.
