Sydney Good Food and Wine Show

Food connoisseurs could be in for a treat if they visit Sydney's Good Food and Wine Show which is set to take place in June.

According to the official website, the event will see 300 stalls exhibit some of the "latest culinary trends from around the world".

Between June 15th and 17th, thousands of visitors are expected to visit the Sydney Exhibition centre to browse the stalls and take in a range of events. These include celebrity chef cook-offs and competitions to win Swiss Diamond Cookware.

According to the Good Food and Wine Show 2006 report, 29,823 visitors took in the Sydney event. The report also quotes one visitor - Jan Compton from Victoria - as stating: "I thought the whole day was most enjoyable and very well organised and will look forward to attending again next year.”

There are two additional Good Food and Wine Show events that food lovers visiting Australia's cheap hotels could look out for as Brisbane and Melbourne both play host to the culinary road show over the course of the year.
