Book Cheap Salzburg Hotels for Musical Easter
Customers booking cheap hotels in Salzburg over Easter will arrive in time for the annual Salzburg Easter Festival, a nine-day event featuring music from the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
From March 27th to April 5th, the city will hear an array of music, showcased at the Grosses Festspielhaus in the city.
The major highlight this year will be from director Sir Simon Rattle, who will finish the last instalment of Wagner's Ring Cycle, performing 'Götterdämmerung' on the first and last nights of the festival.
Now at the end of a four-year project, Sir Rattle has been performing the three other cycles since 2007.
Other festival highlights will include a production of Bach's St Matthew Passion, on March 28th and April 3rd, and Verdi's Missa da Requiem, on March 30th and April 2nd.
Salzburg has hosted the Easter festival since 1967 and it has become one of the most internationally renowned festivals in the world.
