Salzburg Cathedral was hit by a bomb on October 16th, 1944. While there were no injuries inside the cathedral, its dome was completely destroyed.

Entitled A Direct Hit to the Heart, the display, which will be open until October 26th, focuses on the destruction and reconstruction of the cathedral between 1944 and 1959.
