Have a Ball
Those who fancy raising money for a good cause while partying can do both in big style in Vienna in May.
Life Ball 2007 is a charity event raising funds for AIDS charities, held at the grand location of the City Hall on May 26th.
There are 4,000 tickets for the ball itself and for those who don't manage to get one there is also a free open-air fashion show attended by tens of thousands.
According to organisers, tickets can be bought for €75 (£50).
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Vienna can also enjoy a wide range of attractions in this beautiful city.
Filled with spectacular gothic buildings such as St Stephen's Cathedral, statues such as Mozart and Liebenberg's monument and numerous coffee shops, the city oozes class and charm.
It also has one of Europe's biggest urban parks, the Prater, which features the huge ferris wheel featured in the spy film The Third Man.
