While some worry about the amount of snow falling in the Alps in this mild winter, visitors to Otztal in Austria will never be short of the stuff.
The reason is the vast glaciers of the area, which guarantee year-round frozen wonder and plenty of skiing, although the rest of the valley should never be short of the white stuff.

Solden also has an indoor ski dome for those who prefer to enjoy the pistes without the weather.
