No Kramping the Style Here
As the winter approaches and the alpine ski resorts get ready to open up, there are plenty of accompanying festivals, not least the Krampusse Parade in Innsbruck's ski village of Igls.
Taking place in early December (date to be confirmed), the parade is one of weird and wonderful creatures in wooden masks making their way in procession through the town at 15:00 local time.
Accompanying the display is plenty of food and drink, including mulled wine and the local pastry krapfen.
Apart from the festival, Innsbruck has plenty for visitors to do.
The slopes are open for skiing and snowboarding at the start of December, while the city of Innsbruck has plenty of baroque and gothic architecture to enjoy, such as Ambras Castle and the Imperial Castle, along with lots of art and theatre.
Innsbruck has plenty of accommodation for tourists, including cheap hotels.
