Salzburg Prepares to Get Jazzy
Cheap hotels in Salzburg could prove popular among jazz fans this autumn as the city hosts a festival dedicated to the genre.
A number of venues will participate in the Salzburger Jazz-Herbst festival, which will run from October 28th to November 8th.
This annual event celebrates emerging talents as well as established names in the vibrant world of jazz music.
Artists taking part in the festival this year include the Blind Boys of Alabama, Cassandra Wilson, Sonny Rollins, the Bobby Hutcherson Quartet and the Monty Alexander Trio.
Visitors will be able to hear live music in some of the Austrian city's most famous and prestigious venues, such as the Grosses Festspielhaus, the Residenz and the Salzburg Congress.
People with a passion for music may also be interested in visiting Mozart's Birthplace during their visit to Salzburg, which now serves as a museum housing exhibits including letters and memorabilia associated with the Mozart family.
