Vienna to Host Journalists' Ball
This year Vienna will play host to the city's Journalists' Summer ball.
Taking place on May 15th, the event, otherwise known as the Corncordia Ball, will see Austrian and international journalists, as well as business leaders gather in the Vienna City Hall.
In addition, the World Events Guide website states that artists and "eminent scientists" also make an appearance at the dress ball, where they dance into the early hours of the morning.
Other events that are to take place during Vienna's 2007-08 ball season include the Imperial Ball in December and January's Ball of Army Officers.
Those who stay in a cheap hotel in the city will also have access to a range of other attractions, according to Vienna's official tourism website. Highlights include examples of the city's imperial architecture contained within the Schonbrunn and Belvedere Palaces, as well the Gothic frontage of St Stephen's Cathedral.
