Beer We Go

Visitors to Brussels in November will be able to enjoy a special treat at the Cantillon Brewery on November 10th.

Not content with letting the public merely sample the finished product, the master brewer and his kith and kin are inviting people in to experience a public brewing session.

Starting nice and early at 06:30 local time, the tours run until 17:00, with coffee and croissants for those early birds (who might be well advised to avoid the beer the night before), with the tour demonstrating the various stages of the process which produced Lambic and Gueze.

Outside the brewery, visitors staying in cheap hotels will be able to sample plenty of Belgium's famous beers and chocolates, as well as enjoying the varied attractions of this fascinating European city.

Whether it's the varied Flemish and French cultures, the curiosity of the Mannekin Pis statue, the remarkable structure that is the Atomium or the ambience of one of the many squares, this melting-pot city will promise a good time for all.
