Bruges to Host Film Festival

Bruges to host film festival People who book a cheap hotel in Bruges this month might be interested in attending a movie as part of the 27th Cinema Novo Film Festival.

From March 11th-21st, the historic city will showcase new films from Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as host some special events and screenings.

Visitors will have the chance to see a number of premieres as part of Cinema Vivo. Films from Argentina, Indonesia, Pakistan and Egypt among many others will make their debut.

The All-Around Programme will offer Dutch and French-subtitled films, also entered by filmmakers around the world.

Tourists might also be interested in attending the Special Day, an event looking at films that surround the issue of the Millennium Development Goal 1- how to eradicate extreme hunger in developing countries in the south.

As a break away from films, holidaymakers can still visit Bruges' historic sights including the 12th century Chapel of the Holy Blood.
