Cactus but Not Prickly
Those looking for an outdoor music festival to go to this summer will find plenty in the low countries, with Bruges in Belgium being no exception.
Cactusfestival 07 will offer an eclectic mix of bands and styles when it is held from July 6th to 8th, with bands from a number of different countries performing at Minnewaterpark Brugge.
The schedule includes The Waterboys from the UK, American bands such as The Flaming Lips and Cake and Belgian perfomers such as Gabriel Rios and Ozark Henry.
According to the festival website, three-day tickets cost between €62 (£42) and €69, with one and two-day tickets also available.
In addition to the festival, there are many things for visitors staying in cheap hotels to see and do in Bruges.
Most notably, the city is a centre of arts and culture, with a city centre that has changed little since medieval times, offering a wide range of architectural treasures, while its museums are filled with Flemish art and sculptures.
