Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Tournament
Tennis fans looking to enjoy a bit of indoor fun may find just the thing they are looking for in Belgium this coming February with the Proximus Diamond Games in Antwerp.
Despite the name, this is all about ladies' tennis, with the event regularly attracting the top names in the sport.
Held between February 9th and the 18th, the tournament is due to feature the likes of defending champion Ameleie Mauresmo and local favourite Kim Clijsters, who Mauresmo beat in the final last year.
Other top names in the draw include Elene Dementieva and Daniela Hantuchova.
Apart from the tennis, visitors staying in cheap hotels in the city will have plenty of things to see and do.
The home of Rubens, Antwerp is a city of great art, sculpture and architecture, with the chance to see it in small scale at the Minatuurstad, or enjoy things on a grand scale at the towering Cathedral of our Lady, with its 123 metre (403 foot) high tower.
