Fiesta Latina in Brussels

Fiesta Latina in Brussels When potential holidaymakers think of Brussels, Latin music and dancing may not be the first entertainments that spring to mind.

However, due to the city's Fiesta Latina, that's exactly what they'll find if they head to the Chatelain district this August.

Taking place over August 20th and 21st 2006, the event will feature parades, live concerts and dancing, celebrating all things Latin.

Organisers describe the event as "a unique occasion for all to escape within this culture and discover the traditions, rhythms, colours and Latino flavours", promising that caipirhina and mojitos will all be part of the fun.

Free to visitors, the celebration encompasses Latin cultures from Cuba to Peru, from Brazil to the Bahamas, with traditional celebrations designed to awaken the senses.

The Chatelain is a small district in the heart of Brussels, a popular venue relaxing at day and partying at night, within easy reach of the city's cheap hotels and vibrant nightlife.
