Jazz Fans Go for the Blue Note in Ghent
Fans of jazz can stay in cheap hotels in Ghent this summer as the Blue Note Records Festival comes to the Belgian city.
With acts as diverse as Elvis Costello with the Allen Trouissant Band, the Cinematic Orchestra and DJ Shadow, there is likely to be something for all tastes of music.
And unlike many conventional weekend rock festivals, there is the opportunity to find a cheap hotel and make a week of the Blue Note Records Festival.
Day tickets cost €25 for advanced sales and €29 for box office tickets, while a three-day pass costs €63 euros.
The festival will run between July 6th and July 17th 2007.
Ghent itself is also a popular tourist attractions, featuring a number of historical attractions, including an impressive array of centuries-old churches and cathedrals.
It is also easy to get around, with a comprehensive public transport system. An exciting nightlife is always in store as well as a range of cheap hotels for when the night is over.
