Art lovers and collectors heading for Belgium this winter may have just the thing they are looking for lined up in the city of Ghent, where the Lineart expedition is being held from December 1st to the 5th in the Flanders Expo Centre.
The exhibition is a large one, featuring the work of over 1,000 artists and art dealers from many countries, so the collector will do well to come prepared for some spending.
Outside the festival, the city of Ghent offers plenty of attractions for visitors.
Its main feature is a rich architectural heritage, including the gothic Saint Bavo Cathedral, Gravensteen Castle, the medieval town hall and the old Graslei Harbour, while those who simply cart get enough art can enjoy more at the Museum voor Sahara Kunsten.
Ghent has plenty of accommodation, including cheap hotels.
It makes a good location for touring Belgium due to its central location.
