Digital Celebrations in Vancouver

For its tenth anniversary pioneering film and digital arts festival Resfest is on a world tour to 43 cities on six continents, and will be making its landfall in Vancouver next month.

With the stunning backdrop of the British Columbian capital, Resfest will showcase innovative talent in digital artforms from around the world.

This year's event drew from a deep pool of 2,200 submissions to bring the event's signature mix of digital shorts (one to 12 minutes) and longform (up to 30 minutes) screenings, informative panels, parties and cutting-edge performances.

Interactive media, music videos and film title sequences will also feature in a tenth anniversary showcase that will also feature two special documentaries on revolutionary digital filmmaking.

The festival's annual feature is 'Rock the Bells', a documentary about a promoter's uphill quest to reform the nine-member Wu-Tang Clan for an appearance at the 2004 Rock the Bells festival in California.

In a special artist retrospective the festival will screen 'Radiohead, the Visionaries', a digital expose of the British super group's decade-long espousal of cutting-edge visual innovation in music videos.
