Toronto Jazz Festival Celebrates 20th Anniversary

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Toronto's biggest jazz festival, which has recently been named as the TD Canada Trust Toronto Jazz Festival.

The event will be marked by a 350-show line-up, which includes stars such as McCoy Tyner, Dave Brubeck and Pharoah Sanders.

Main stage jazz concerts also include Marcus Miller, the Mingus Big Band, Kenny Garrett and Charlie Hunter.

Festival first-timers Etta James and guitarist and vocalist John Pizzarelli, will also be performing at the world-renowned event.

The event will run from June 23rd to July 2nd and repeat performances of some of the top bands will feature at over 40 locations around the city.

The jazz festival has recently been named Canada's best at the National Jazz Awards, as it showcases 1,500 musicians and 350 concerts, which attract over half a million people each year.
