Toronto to Burst into Fire in July

Toronto to burst into fire in July Toronto's spectacular festival of fire is set to take place over four dates in early July.

The event, a dramatic fireworks display, will take place over the Toronto waterfront on July 1st, 3rd, 6th and 8th.

Choreographed to music, the event will represent different nations on each night, with Canada, Brazil, and China all represented, while the final night plans to be a pan-global display, hoping to represent the city's cultural diversity.

Travellers heading out to the City this week will have other chances to steep themselves in multi-cultural Totonto, with the dragon boat race festival on June 24th and 25th set to feature more than 200 22-crewmember teams.

Over the course of the racing weekend there will be a series of multi-cultural performances, featuring traditional dances and music from a number of ethnic communities, including Chinese, South Asians, Eastern Europeans and South Americans.

June 25th also marks the end of Toronto's pride week, a week-long celebration of the city's sexual diversity.
