T-Rex in T-ronto
Visitors to Toronto who love films like Jurassic Park and One Million Years BC (and not just because of Racquel Welch), have a last chance indulge their passion for all things Mesozoic at Toronto Zoo in early October.
Continuing until October 8th, Dinosaurs Alive! offers visitors staying in cheap hotels a chance to come face-to-face with life-size and realistic models of 16 different kinds of dinosaur, plus a number of fossils, including complete skeletons.
This family fun feature will leave people terrified by T-Rex, staggered by Stegosaurus and blown away by Brontosaurus.
In addition to the event, Toronto Zoo itself features a huge variety of animal species to interest children of all ages, while the city has a wealth of attractions in its own right.
These vary from the booming cultural scene and the waterfront vista on the shores of Lake Ontario to the staggering 1,815 ft high CN Tower, the tallest free-standing structure in the world.
