Canary Music
For those who love the sunshine the Canary Islands offer plenty all year round, but from January 7th to early February the islands host their own music festival, centred on Las Palmas in Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz in Tenerife.
Visitors to the islands will be able to enjoy orchestral music from the likes of the Helsinki Philharmonic, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Quartet, plus many more.
In its 23rd year, the concert season aims to both showcase established talent and enable debutants to display their skills.
Apart from the music, the Canary Islands have plenty to see and do.
While some may wish to enjoy the sand and surf under the permanently warm sunshine, the islands also offer fascinating and varied flora and fauna, with the volcanic landscapes of Lanzarote a particular highlight.
