Tenerife to Host European Tour

Sports fans staying in cheap hotels in Tenerife will be able to enjoy a top-level golf event in June when the Ladies European Tour comes to the Canary Islands.

Golf Costa Adeje will host the 12th event on the European Tour between June 19th and 22nd.

Some of England's representatives on the tour will be hoping that they are still competing at the top of the rankings by the time this event comes around, with Lisa Hall, Felicity Johnson and Melissa Reid leading the 2008 'money list' after two meetings.

Nicole Gergely of Austria recently showed her intentions in the Spanish Open, however, sinking a hole-in-one early in the first round.

The 2008 Ladies European Tour will provide plenty of opportunities for golf fans to travel around the world, with Munich playing host to the tournament between May 29th and June 1st and both Holland and Portugal also holding events in June.

Later in the year, the tour will visit Oslo, Gothenburg, Dubai and others.
