Come Together for Split

Come together for Split Visitors to Croatia this summer will be able to enjoy a cultural treat in the city of Split, where the 52nd Split Festival will feature a wide variety of music and the arts from Croat and international performers between July 14th and August 14th 2007.

The programme lists performances such as Mozart's Don Giovanni, performed by the CNT Split Opera Ensemble, Swan Lake, performed by the St Petersburg based Leonid Yacobson Ballet School, Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstein are dead by the Split Summer Festival Drama Ensemble, plus various photographic and art exhibitions.

A number of venues host festival events, including the CNT Spilt Courtyard, the Art Gallery, Carrara Square and Vitturi Castle.

Ticket prices vary, with the highest at €35 (£24).

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Spilt will also be able to enjoy a beautiful city in a warm southern European climate.

The city is located on the beautiful Adriatic coat and has a long history, with the greatest feature of this being Diocletian's Palace, a Roman fort which dates from the fourth century.
