Croatia 'top Destination' for 2010

Croatia 'top destination' for 2010 The Croatian tourist board, Hidden Croatia, is expecting 2010 to be their year, recommending tourists to book a cheap hotel in Dubrovnik as other Brits follow the trend.

Alan Brown, of Hidden Croatia, said: "Not only is Croatia attracting new visitors for 2010, but the country enjoys a high level of repeat business. These are British guests who have been surprised at the high standards of accommodation and cuisine and who are returning time and time again."

One benefit for travellers heading to the country is that it does not have Euro currency, meaning living expenses are much more affordable than in the eurozone.

Visitors can also access Croatia from as many as 14 regional airports in the UK to Split, Pula and Dubrovnik.

The country offers visitors a choice of wandering through historical cities or island hopping on a day cruise. It is also turning into a celebrity hotspot, as Beyonce and Jay-Z were recently spotted on one of the country's private islands.
