Silver Screen in Zagreb
Film crews and fans will be flocking to Croatia again this autumn for the fifth annual film festival.
Hosted at the university's student centre and cinema Europe, it aims to highlight the work of new directors who have made just one or two films and act as a networking event for international filmmakers.
The festival international jury awards Golden Prams for the winners of three separate film categories: feature-length, short and documentary.
Winners also receive a financial prize.
Registration is open until August 20th and the festival itself takes place between October 21st and 27th.
Film representatives for films nominated in any category are reimbursed for board and lodgings and other attendees will find cheap hotel accommodation in the city.
Organisers stated that the festival encourages "creative meetings of international and local film artists and thus to make a positive impact on the development of film production and culture in Croatia".
Last year's overall winner was German film The Life of Others, directed and written by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck.
It examines the effects of the political changes in East Berlin on the city's inhabitants prior to and following the destruction of the infamous wall in 1991.
