Check out Venetian Nights on a Trip to Prague
Music fans staying in cheap hotels in Prague this summer may be interested in taking a trip out of the city to visit a festival in the town of Mala Skala.
Venetian Nights, which is known locally as the Benatska Noc festival, will be held from July 24th to 26th.
The event attracts top names from the Czech and international pop and rock scenes to Mala Skala every year.
Headline acts this year will include alternative rockers Guano Apes from Germany, as well as Britain's own Midge Ure, lead singer of Ultravox and co-creator of the Band Aid single Do They Know It's Christmas?.
Venetian Nights was founded in the early 1990s and has hosted more than 1,000 gigs over the years, including performances by the likes of Anthrax and Suzi Quatro.
Visitors to the Czech Republic who are looking for some musical entertainment with a more sophisticated appeal can head to the Prague State Opera to see what performances are taking place.
