Czech Your Calendar - Christmas is Coming
Visitors to Prague in the late autumn will have a great chance to get into the Christmas spirit by enjoying the International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music between December 30th and November 1st 2007.
The festival is a relatively new one, dating from 1991, but has a huge amount to offer, not least a huge dose of Christmas spirit as choirs of both genders and different ages fill the air with seasonal melodies in a competition for the Petr Eben Prize.
Most of the events take place in the beautiful Old Town Square, one of many fine architectural sights on view in a beautiful and (literally) Bohemian city.
Those staying in cheap hotels will also be able to enjoy Prague Castle, the many bridges over the Danube, the cathedral of St Vitus and many other fine buildings.
Prague also has plenty of nightlife and entertainment while there should be plenty of chances to get some Christmas shopping in too.
