Head to Prague for the Mystic Skate Cup
Fans of skateboarding and other extreme sports will be heading to Prague in June for the Mystic Skate Cup.
The event will take place in the purpose-built Mystic Skatepark from June 19th to 21st this year as part of the World Cup Skateboarding (WCS) 2009 season.
Traditionally one of the most popular summer holiday events in Prague, the competition will see some of the world's best skaters competing for prize money in three contests - street, vert and bowl.
The street section sees competitors making their own route around an open area full of rails, jumps and other features, while in the vert and bowl competitions skaters see who can get the most air and pull off the biggest tricks.
Around 200 professional skaters take part in the event every year, watched by more than 10,000 spectators.
The WCS 2009 season will also include events in Rome (June 12th to 14th) and Boston (July 23rd to 25th) this year.
