One World, Many Films
Film lovers heading east may have a good reason to go to Prague in February, with the Czech capital hosting the One World Film Festival from February 28th to March 8th.
This, however, is no ordinary film festival, because it has a very serious theme of exposing human rights abuses by documentary means, highlighting major humanitarian issues along with other members of the Association of Human Rights Festivals.
Visitors interested in human rights issues may find the festival an informative and inspirational experience.
Apart from the festival, visitors staying in cheap hotels can enjoy a variety of things to see and do in Prague.
Those interested in political history can visit Wenceslas Square, a major gathering point in the 1989 Velvet Revolution or the preserved Terezin concentration camp outside the city.
Prague also offers plenty of light-hearted attractions, including a flourishing nightlife scene and attractive architecture.
