See Heavenly Light in Prague

See Heavenly Light in Prague Travellers staying in cheap hotels in Prague over the coming months will be able to boost their artistic knowledge by paying a visit to the city's National Gallery.

An exhibition of prints and drawings by Michael Leopold Willmann and some of his contemporaries will be open until February 1st.

Willmann was a German Baroque artist who took inspiration from the likes of Rembrandt, Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony van Dyck.

A selection of his drawings and prints feature in the Heavenly Light exhibition, which explores the theme of light and how it was portrayed by members of the Baroque movement.

Several of Willmann's peers and artists he influenced are represented in the show, including Petr Brandl and Jan Krystof Liska.

The display is located at the National Gallery's Schwarzenberg Palace.

People visiting Prague over the coming months can also head to the gallery before April 11th to see an exhibition celebrating Van Dyck.
