Probably the best "budget" Hotel in Prague..

Okay, for those of you in a hurry. The most important reason you may want to consider hotel is that the price of a room is usually about £130. However, if you book online (both times I have anyway) it will cost around £20. This is for a standard single, twin or double room which all come with free breakfast.

The hotel itself is very presentable and has a certain sense of grandeur - despite it's rather lazy name. I believe it is a 4*.. Regardless, it is generally quite satisfactory and there was nothing dramatically displeasing.

The rooms were pretty basic but nonetheless were clean and had all of the basic amenities you would expect. The view on lower levels leaves something to be desired..

The breakfast is in buffet form and admittedly isn't great, but it is free. The main restaurant however wasn't as expensive as expected and was a lot nicer - we paid about £20 a head, including drinks.

The hotel has a fairly large number of facilities as it is also a leisure centre. These include tennis courts, a swimming pool and a Casino. It should also be pointed out that the drinks prices are dramatically lower in the Casino compared with the Bar and it is equally as comfortable inside.

The hotel is a fair distance outside the city but this has never proved a problem for me despite the fact I don't drive. A 100kr (aprox. £4) 24hr public transport pass will get allow you to get the metro to Chodov station and then the 115 bus which will drop you off directly outside the hotel (Metsky Archiv). They run until about 1am most nights. After that you will have to get a taxi.

Overall, for anyone who is even remotely bothered about money this Hotel is definitely one of the best choices in the City in my opinion. I will definitely be staying here again if I return to Prague.
