Visit Prague for the Winter Festival

Visit Prague for the Winter Festival People planning to shake off the post-Christmas blues with a break in January might be interested in visiting Prague to experience the city's Winter Festival.

The event, which will be taking place for the 38th consecutive time, will run from January 2nd to 7th.

Visitors will have opportunities to enjoy ballet performances, classical music concerts and opera in some of Prague's finest venues, including the National Theatre, the State Opera and Dvorak Hall at the Rudolfinum.

Productions that people staying in cheap hotels in Prague will be able to choose from this year include Mozart's Don Giovanni, Verdi's Othello and Tosca by Puccini.

There will also be performances by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, jazz concerts, entertainment provided by the Black Light Theatre and tours of the city during the day.

Prague is full of sights and landmarks for visitors to look out for, such as Vladislav Hall, St Vitus Cathedral and St George's Basilica.
