Places of Interest in Copenhagen
The Central city area is were most of the tourist attractions are. This area is known as Kobenhavn k that spans central Copenhagen.
The other main central area is known as Stroget, this is the canal area.
Veseterbro was once a haven for drug users and prostitutes has been now transformed.
The one time no go area is now very upmarket and full of bars, cafes and restaurants, this is now an ideal place for people watching.
Cycling is a way of life in Copenhagen and there are several bike rental shops around the city, this is fantastic way to get around, and a feel for the city.
Copenhagen Nightlife
For a low key start head to the Lord Nelson, an expat hangout serving European microbeers on tap. The Lord Nelson is located at 9 Hyskenstraede and is a very friendly cellar bar.
If you’re looking for some live music, then try Stengade 30. This small underground venue hosts bands playing Indie and Electronic acts. The venue is very popular on Sundays, and is located at 18 Stengade.
For a late and lively evening then you could try Crazy Daisy, if you like your Tequila or American style jello shots. The Crazy Daisy is situated at Boltens Gard, 10B Gothersgade.
Getting from Copenhagen Airport
Train
The airport runs an express service that leaves three times an hour for central station. The train departs from platform 2 under terminal 3. This express service only takes 12 minutes and costs 25 Danish Krone.
Taxi
The taxi journey will take about 25 minutes to the city centre, and costs about 120-160 Danish Krone. The taxi rank is located outside the arrival terminal.
Bus
The airport operates a bus service from outside the terminal, to the city centre every 15 minutes and costs 35 Danish Krone. The bus journey time to the city centre is about 30 minutes.
