Culture in Copenhagen

Culture in Copenhagen Visitors to Copenhagen in October will have a great chance to see some of the finest cultural treasures in the Danish capital for the price of one ticket.

Known as Kulturnatten (Culture Night) the annual event, which takes place on October 12th 2007, sees museums, art galleries, churches, exhibitions, schools, theatres and organisations throwing open their doors, offering the chance of a whistle-stop tour for holders of tickets for the night, which can be bought for 70 Krona (£6.35).

According to the festival website, over 300 venues in all are open between 18:00 and midnight local time.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels can also enjoy plenty of other attractions in the city.

These include royal residences such as the Amalienborg Palace, numerous gardens and the famous Little Mermaid statue.

Copenhagen also has good nightlife, which means that even when the cultural attractions finally close at midnight there is still much to do.
