NatFilm Festival: Denmark's Feast of Films
Tourists with a passion for motion pictures could think about getting a cheap hotel in Denmark to make the most of the annual NatFilm Festival, the country's largest film festival.
Every cinema in Copenhagen will take part in the proceedings, featuring both Hollywood releases and smaller-budget films on the cutting edge of production.
Furthermore, film-going tourists are not just limited Copenhagen – they could opt to stay in cheap hotels across Denmark as the region, as the NatFilm 2007 is also celebrated in Aalborg, Odense and Arhus.
All films shown during the festival without a Danish distribution deal are eligible for entry in an award that could see the winning submission win a DK125,000 (£11,200) sum to help towards a Danish theatrical release.
Some of the films shown in last year's festival included The Great Ecstasy of Robert Carmichael, Tristam Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story and Breakfast on Pluto.
Additionally, some big-name films like An American Haunting and Oscar-winning Tsotsi were also screened.
The NatFilm Festival runs from March 23rd to April 7th 2007.
