Horsinki Lovers of all things equine will have a good reason to head to the Finnish capital in October as the Helsinki International Horse Show rides into town.

Running from October the 18th to 21st 2007 at the Hartwall Arena, the show features displays of equestrian brilliance as horses and riders take on a range of courses strewn with various fences and challenges, while there is additional entertainment and associated events - the programme even lists a Dressage Idols event.

The event programme lists a range of tickets available for the event, with prices varying between €49 and €69 (£46.83).

As well as enjoying all things on four hooves inside the arena, visitors staying in cheap hotels can enjoy a range of interesting sights in the city.

These include one of the oldest zoos in the world (Korkeasaari Zoo), the largest orthodox church in Europe (Uspenski Cathedral) and one of the world's biggest sea fortresses (Suomenlinna Maritime Fortress), while the city can be explored on one of the world's smallest underground railway systems.
