Race to the Finnish
Fans of rally car racing will be able to enjoy one of the top events in Scandinavia at the Neste Oil Rally in Finland.
Running, or rather driving from August 2nd to 5th 2007, the event takes place around Jyvaskyla in central Finland, amid beautiful countryside full of lakes and forest.
Organisers have stated that the course had been substantially re-routed from last year, with plenty of new and unfamiliar tracks for the drivers to hurtle round as they accelerate, bump, jump, skid and occasionally go skidding off in spectacular mishaps as they try to leave their fellow competitors choking on their dust trails.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the area can join the huge crowds and revel in the atmosphere of one of Finland's main sports, all this while being able to enjoy fabulous views of wild and idyllic scenery, not to mention the long summer days and late sunsets of the Nordic summer.
