Book Cheap Hotels in Paris for Pomidou Retrospective
People who book a cheap hotel in Paris might be interested in catching the end of a major retrospective show at the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
The innovative design space is currently showing major works by Pierre Soulanges, one of the country's most-loved contemporary painters.
Work on show will cover 60 years of the artist's career, who is most famed for his abstract black and white canvasses.
This comes as the French artist turns 90. To mark the occasion visitors can see over 100 works in one place, from 1946 to the present day and many of the artist's most recent works will be on display for the first time.
The Pompidou Centre is a modern creative space for art and theatre and other creative industries. It opened in 1977 and is most famous for its 'inside out' architecture, with dozens of coloured pipes and ducts running along its outside walls.
Visitors to Paris can see the Soulanges exhibition until March 8th.
