Book Your Place Now
Paris in the spring is an evocative place for romantics, but will be even more so for bookworms between March 23rd and the 27th, when the Salon du Livre book fair takes place.
Held at the Porte de Versailles, organisers have declared their mission statement for 2007 to be "to share, again and forever, the passion for books with the greatest number of people".
This sharing includes a vast range of exhibitors, book signings by authors and the chance to mix and mingle with a vast number of like-minded people.
Open from 09.30 to 20.00 local time, entry to the fair costs €5 (£3.35), or free to librarians, publishers and booksellers, while the venue can be reached by Metro on Line 12 (Porte du Versailles) or Line 8 (Balard).
In the meantime, visitors staying in cheap hotels in the city of lights should still find time to enjoy the many cultural and architectural wonders of this historic and beautiful city, with the Eiffel Tower, the Left Bank and the Louvre just three of the many famous attractions on offer.
