Experience the Circus of Tomorrow

The strange world of the circus, with its moustachioed ringmasters and bumbling clowns, may seem stuck in the past, but there is an incarnation of this form of entertainment that is anything but old-fashioned and it can be witnessed in Paris in January.

Between January 31st and February 3rd 2008 the Circus of Tomorrow will have its 19th outing and visitors staying in cheap hotels in Paris can find it at the Pelouse de Reuilly.

This event is designed to discover the new trends of circus performance by featuring young and upcoming stars from around the world to participate in friendly competition.

Performers come from such diverse sources as the Beijing Circus, the Moscow Circus and the Ecole Fratellini of France.

The Circus of Tomorrow was founded in 1977 and gave young artists an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to an international jury of professional performers and an enraptured audience.

Since then nearly 1,000 different acts have contributed to the circus and turned it into one of the world's most original and exciting forms of entertainment.
