Fine Woodwork on Show in Paris
Paris' Grand Palais is currently hosting an exhibition highlighting the full expressive possibilities of wood.
People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to see the Wood at Heart display until August 30th.
A wide variety of works feature in the exhibition, including sculptures and intricate pieces of craftsmanship, as well as video animations and interactive terminals that provide an insight into woodwork.
The show was conceived and designed by the 'Compagnons menuisiers et ebenistes du Devoir', an organisation of French craftsmen that has a history stretching back to the Middle Ages.
People who are more interested in newer forms of art can pay a visit to the Grand Palais before July 13th to see an exhibition exploring the life and work of the cultural icon Andy Warhol.
The display features more than 250 works by Warhol that have been selected from the range of portraits that he created from the early 1960s up to the 1980s.
