Follow the Boeuf Gras in Paris

Follow the Boeuf Gras in Paris Paris hosts one of its oldest and most interestingly named festivals in February - the Promenade du Boeuf Gras.

This carnival procession, which translates as the Fat Cow Parade, is an event that revels in some 500 years of tradition.

Parisians and visitors come out in their droves to take part in the procession, which is also known as the Pantruche Carnaval or the Saint-Fargeau.

Crowds of revellers and people in the party mood pour through the streets of Paris, accompanied by musicians and myriad other people in various interesting choices of attire, on their way to the town hall.

This event transforms the capital of France to such an extent that visitors staying in cheap hotels in Paris on February 3rd will not be able to miss it.

Paris is famous for being one of the world's most romantic cities and is a hugely popular location for holidaying couples and culture vultures alike.
