French Architect Gets First Large Exhibition
Paris' Centre Pompidou is currently hosting the first ever large-scale exhibition devoted to French architect Dominique Perrault.
The modern art centre has hosted a number of shows recently dedicated to influential architects, including Christian de Portzamparc, Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers.
One of the creations for which Perrault is best known is the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, which is located in east Paris.
This structure is recognised as having created new meanings related to the association between architecture and its environment.
The exhibition at the Centre Pompidou, which people staying in cheap hotels in Paris can see before September 22nd, seeks to introduce visitors to a body of work that cannot be represented by a single building.
Some 50 different projects are included in the display and browsers will make their way around the exhibition among screens of metal mesh, which are highly significant to Perrault's architecture.
