Influential Japanese Artist in Paris

Influential Japanese artist in Paris Paris' Musee National des Arts Asiatiques will host an exhibition over the coming months dedicated to the influential Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai.

This display, which people staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to see until August 4th, includes 120 pieces that were signed by Hokusai or attributed to his studio.

Hokusai lived from 1760 until 1849 and was one of Japan's leading painters and printmakers during the time.

The Paris exhibition includes some of his most famous pieces from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series, including the enduringly popular The Great Wave off Kanagawa.

A number of lesser-known pieces are also included in the show, as well as preparatory drawings, sketches and paintings.

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will find the Musee National des Arts Asiatiques on Place d’Iena.
