Modern hotel in Marseille. Les Gens de Mer Hotel is a modern and functional establishment, located next to the harbour of Marseille and the picturesque district of Panier. It disposes of 63 rooms completely equipped and ideal to achieve the greatest well-being and its guests' stillness. The hotel has large gardens and a full Business Centre. Among its facilities, also stand out the two lounges equipped with the up-to-date technology, perfect to hold reunions, conventions or social acts. The hotel is placed fully in the heart of Euromediterranee business centre and 20 km away from the airport. Due to its location and modern facilities, Les Gens de Mer Hotel is the ideal place to spend the holidays or the business trips.

Cheap and you can see why - basic, no frills. However, you get what you pay for and we were quite happy at getting that for the money we paid. The area isn't the best - really dirty streets and a lot of poor people (beggers, tramps) around. Not brilliant for a wander back after a nice meal down at Vieux Port, but still not too threatening. 1 hour of wifi for 1 euro not too bad either just to check mails and travel details online etc.
Overall, not bad, basic but that's what we kind of expected. let down by the area it's in though.
