Clara Clara, which was created specifically for the Tuileries Gardens site where it is currently being exhibited, measures 36 metres in length and 3.4 metres in height.

The piece comprises two large, slightly inclined steel curves which will be permanently installed at a public site in Paris following their display in the Tuileries Gardens.

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to see Clara Clara at its current location until November 3rd this year.

The exhibition was organised alongside a showcase of Serra's work that is being held at the Grand Palais in Paris.

Serra, who was once quoted as saying that he likes to "invent new forms", has created works that have had significant influences on the accepted concepts of sculpture.

He is fascinated by using raw materials in his work, particularly steel, and often employs techniques related to engineering and architecture to create large and striking pieces.
